Do I still need Pixie Dust Pathfinder if I am working with a travel agent?
Yes, and the two work well together. A Disney travel agent books your hotel, your tickets, and your package. What an agent cannot do is stand next to you in the park at seven in the morning. Pixie Dust Pathfinder picks up where your agent leaves off and teaches you how to run the trip yourself: booking dining, using Lightning Lane, the Disney app, mobile ordering, transporation and pacing your park days. Plenty of Wayfinders use both.
Do I need to have my Disney trip booked already?
Yes. Pixie Dust Pathfinder starts once your dates are set, because every lesson is built around your trip. Your dates decide when your dining window opens, when your Lightning Lane booking begins, and which lesson you need next. If you have not booked yet, the free Disney Destination Toolbox can help you weigh Disneyland against Walt Disney World first.
How much time does this really take?
About 45 minutes per lesson. That is one lesson written for your resort and your family, plus a short set of homework. It is meant to replace the hours families spend piecing a trip together across blogs, videos, and forums, not to add another thing to your list.
Is this a class I have to keep up with?
No. There is no schedule to fall behind on. If your trip is fifteen or more weeks away, lessons arrive one at a time so nothing piles up. If you are travelling sooner, lessons unlock as your family finishes them, so the whole program fits the time you actually have. Everything stays open until a week after you get home.
Is this for Disneyland or Walt Disney World?
Both. When you sign up, you choose your park. Every lesson, dining guide, and vocabulary page is tailored to your specific destination, because Disneyland and Walt Disney World are two very different trips.
